Here we are on our second book of the 90 day Success Run!

This book has an amazing story and I’m excited as we read this together to hear  about your transformations. In the first book we laid the foundation of changing our mindset.  As we read the Traveler’s Gift by Andy Andrews we’ll discuss the seven decisions that determine personal success.  We’ll explore achieving personal success through the eyes of David Ponder. These decisions will fertilize your new mindset as you continue your personal growth.

Let’s continue our journey together!

Here’s the assignment for week 5:

Read Chapter’s One & Two this week ONLY.

Consider the following as you read:
  • The first two chapters set the tone for the character. Would your reaction have been any different than David if you were in the same situation? Describe how it would have been different.

  • How has David’s mindset affected his outlook on his life and family? How would this kind of mindset affect your Jeunesse business and the people on your team?

  • Do you see yourself in David?  Are there people in your life that have this same perspective? How does this want to make you change yourself or your environment?
Looking forward to reading your thoughts below or comments on our Facebook page.

First of all this book is difficult to put down. He works hard to provide for his family as most of us do. He thinks if he gives his job 100 % they will surely take care of him and his needs. As he loses his savings and assists his mindset focuses on the why me. If you have that mindset in jeunesse you Will not succeed. Others will adapt it and it will be a free for all on excuses. They are all the same, and I am #1 to say I have said and seen them all. This year is my year for change and abundance. No excuses not a why me but how can I overcome. I want to thank you for your book selections. For our teams and ourselves if we do the assignments we will be unstoppable as a team.

Awesome Melinda! I know it's hard to stop reading it!! David Ponder represents the average person we know. As TGray said "Average is the top of the bottom and the bottom of the top". This mindset is a bad place to be. It hinders one in so many different ways. Great insight!

The perspective I gained from reading the chapters was that if you worked hard and are loyal to your job, that it will provide the financial needs required to live a good life. David worked hard and tried to do the right things to obtaining a career and future for his family. For a while, it was promising for David however, changes happen and David was experiencing unfortunate events that crushed his self esteem, status and role as the provider for the family.

The mindset of David can have an effect on my Jeunesse business by looking at obstacles and events that do not turn out as I would thought and take it internally to hinder my progression to continue working my business. The positive outlook and constant activity must be applied and eventually, success will be achieved. I think sometimes when I cannot see the progression is the most challenging. However, I have found that when I least expect it, something positive happens and gives me the signal to continue. I just don't want a good life, I desire a "Great" life and I must work hard for myself to achieve it. Jeunesse is the source that can make that happen.

I think the chapters is an excellent example of real life events that has happened at some level to people. It is how we look and react to the situation that makes the difference of success and failure. Thank you Marsha for this excellent selection.
